by Nik Gaur

W: Cam Hill (2-0) | L: Carlos Rodon (0-2) | SV: Brad Hand (15)

Notable Performances

Dallas Keuchel: 6 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 3 K

Dallas Keuchel lowered his season earned run average to an outstanding 1.99 in his smooth six innings of work tonight.

Yoan Moncada: 1-for-4, 3B

Yoan Moncada hit another triple tonight and subsequently scored the go-ahead run. If he is able to round into form over the next few games, the White Sox offense will be much more dangerous in the playoffs.

Yolmer Sanchez: 1-for-2, HR, RBI, BB

In 2019, Yolmer Sanchez hit 2 home runs in 555 plate appearances. Naturally, he hit his first home run of the 2020 season in his 19th plate appearance.

Moment of the Game

Nomar Mazara delivered with a clutch two-out single to knock Zach Plesac out of the game.

Player of the Game

With just one run allowed over six innings on the mound, Dallas Keuchel gets the honor tonight.

Looking Ahead

The White Sox will conclude the regular season with a three game home series against the reeling Cubs. Tomorrow’s game, which begins at 7:10 PM CT, will be a tough test, as Dylan Cease will square off against Cy Young contender Yu Darvish.

DALE COLE

Renteria needs to be fired NOW! His constant lineup mistakes/choices continues to hurt the Sox big time. The Sox had this game in the bag (and needed this win badly), and somehow Renteria found a way to lose another game with his choice of relief pitchers at critical times in a game.
