The Best of White Sox Twitter: September 18-24

by Joe Binder

This has been an incredibly frustrating week for all of us and it showed on Twitter. I’ll admit that I haven’t been very active on our favorite app due to some (good) things happening outside of the page. However, I’ve been trying to catch up when I can and managed to put together just enough for this week’s edition. If you don’t see a tweet that you think should’ve made the list, you can change that for future articles by shooting me a DM @JoeBinder. I won’t be able to search as in-depth for tweets from here on out so this article series will be relying on all of you to submit things my way. Thank you in advance and enjoy this week’s best!

Humor

This is where we encourage you to go for the laughs. Since this category is almost always going to be the most selective of the few, you’ve got to be on your A-game to land here.

Passion, Pride, and Tradition

The root of what it means to be a member of the White Sox and a fan of the team. These are a collection of tweets that don’t necessarily check the box for our humor and analysis categories. Sometimes, they can be emotional takes about how we’re all feeling during a certain game. Other times, they can be as simple as a positive statement or a personal creation like a painting or graphic design.

Last week’s winner: Douglas Hammer (@dhammer312)

DALE COLE

Why is a .170 hitter even in the lineup (Encarnacion) and a close to .300 (much better) hitter on the bench most every game?/ Incompetent managing on Renteria’s part in addition to all the other ridiculous moves he has made this season. Fire Renteria as soon as possible or is he another untouchable like Robin Ventura was. Sox management makes some of the stupidest personnel decisions.
