Shield your eyes! Another former Royal has entered the mix.
The White Sox announced on Wednesday evening that they have agreed to terms with infielder Mike Moustakas on a minor-league deal. He will now be in camp as a non-roster invite moving forward.
Moustakas, 35, most recently slashed .236/.256/.371 with 12 home runs and 48 RBI over 112 games this past season between the Rockies and Angels. The three-time All-Star is most known for his stretch with the Kansas City, where he won a World Series with the club in 2015. Since then, he’s also made stops with the Brewers and Reds.
Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports that Moustakas will receive $2 million if he makes the big leagues and could make an additional $2 million in performance bonuses.
