The White Sox made a pair of roster moves ahead of tonight’s series opener at Toronto.

The team announced in a press release that starting pitcher Lucas Giolito has been placed on the Bereavement List, while reliever Joe Kelly has been reinstated from the 15-day injured list.

Kelly, 34, is 0-1 with a 10.13 ERA (3 ER/2.2 IP), one hold, and three strikeouts over three relief appearances this season. He was placed on the injured list on April 10 (retroactive to April 9) with a right groin strain following the benches-clearing incident in Pittsburgh.

Giolito, 28, is 1-2 with a 4.50 ERA (14 ER/28.0 IP) and 28 strikeouts over five starts this season. Based on league rules, he must remain on the Bereavement List for a minimum of three days and no more than seven. Having made his last start on Sunday, it’s still unclear whether Giolito will be available when his turn comes up in the rotation next.
