Sitting at 28-18 entering the day, the White Sox had a comfortable 5-run lead entering the bottom of the eighth before putting up a big crooked number. In the process, the team also made history. Frank Thomas, Harold Baines, and Robin Ventura hit back-to-back-to-back bombs before Chad Kreuter added a fourth a short time later. See for yourself…
Why is this historic? The White Sox became the 16th team in American League history to hit four home runs in one inning. And let me tell you what, there’s nothing better than hearing vintage Hawk on the call for these either.
