Carlos Rodon’s fastball velocity was noticeably lacking early, as he was in the 88-92 miles-per-hour range. Predictably, he was injured, and he left the game with shoulder soreness.
Luis Robert: 1-for-3, 2 BB, 2 SB
Luis Robert impacts every single game in different ways. While he did not mash home runs or make highlight reel catches today, he took two very impressive walks and subsequently stole second base both times.
Yoan Moncada: 3-for-5, 2B, HR, RBI
Yoan Moncada delivered a clutch insurance run on a solo home run in the ninth inning. He also doubled in the first inning and helped the White Sox get off to a fast start. He did not have the flashiest game, but it was extremely helpful to his team’s victory.
Matt Foster: 2.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K
Matt Foster made the second appearance of his young career and carved through the heart of the Milwaukee lineup to keep the White Sox in the lead. He saved the team from having to burn through multiple relievers after Carlos Rodon’s early exit due to injury.
Leury Garcia: 3-for-5
Leury raised his average to .364 and his OPS to .962 in yet another multi-hit performance while he fills in at shortstop.
Moment of the Game
We’ll give an honorable mention to the go-ahead run being scored on a wild pitch, but Jose Abreu‘s game-tying shot kept the White Sox in the game when it seemed like it was slipping away.

The White Sox will play their last game in Milwaukee tomorrow night at 7:10 PM CT before the two teams head to Chicago to complete their four game set. We may be in for a pitching duel tomorrow, as two aces will be on the mound in Lucas Giolito and Brandon Woodruff.

White Sox are hotter than fish grease right now! I dig this series as a potential playoff series. We need to bring back the Sox-Brewers rivalry full-time. I like facing the entire NL Central division twice in one season. I think the league should look at merging these two divisions together permanently but not sure if it will work with the American League and National League format to keep the integrity of the two leagues separate.
