After taking a 4-1 lead into the bottom of the 6th inning on the strength of Zack Collins and Danny Mendick, the White Sox allowed 7 runs on a series of walks, singles, and a 3-run double, and ended up losing the game 8-4. For whatever reason, Matt Foster was left out to throw 34 pitches and allow 5 runs on 5 hits and a walk, and the White Sox were never able to counter on offense. Aaron Bummer and Liam Hendriks each delivered shutdown innings after the Mariners had the lead. With the loss, the Sox fell to 3-4 and will begin their Opening Day journey at home tomorrow.
