Merry Christmas, White Sox fans! In this week’s edition of Moncada Mondays, you get a sweet swing and a game-winning home run from Yoan. When the Sox hosted the Royals for the last Friday night game of 2017 at the Rate, it was an early back-and-forth scoring affair. Ricky’s boys pushed two runs across the plate in the bottom of the second, but a couple of errors, three singles, and a wild pitch contributed to a six-run third inning for Kansas City. The White Sox rallied in the bottom of the fourth thanks to Tim Anderson’s RBI single, Matt Davidson’s two-run shot, and this bomb from Yoan Moncada:

Jason Hammel left a heater right down the middle and Yoan absolutely crushed it out to dead center with one of the prettiest swings you’ll see. Moncada’s home run put the White Sox up 7-6, which held up as the final score. The White Sox will clash with the Royals in 94 days to open the 2018 season in Kansas City.
