Warning: this week’s edition of Moncada Mondays may induce the sensation of double vision.

Let’s throw it back to mid-September when the White Sox visited the Houston Astros. In the fourth inning of a one-run game, Brad Peacock left a flat slider up and in for Yoan Moncada.

The White Sox infielder gets his hands around quickly to crush an absolute rocket down the right-field line that left the yard in the blink of an eye. Sound familiar, White Sox fans? Let’s take a trip down memory lane to Game 3 of the 2005 World Series.

Blum’s blast and Moncada’s shot looked so much alike that Sox On 35th felt compelled to grace Twitter dot com with a side-by-side video comparison. Don’t say I didn’t warn you about double vision.

Yoan Moncada may be the future of the White Sox, but he found a way to make South Siders feel nostalgic with this highlight. Hopefully, Yo-Yo will be creating new Soxtober memories for seasons to come.
