Update: The White Sox announce Jimenez left the game with “right leg tightness.” He will be day-to-day.

Well, the Sox had gone a little bit without injury news.

Eloy Jimenez left this evening’s game against the Guardians with some sort of right leg injury. It appeared that as he left the game, he was holding his right hamstring. He injured himself running down a fly ball to end the sixth inning. He did walk off under his own power.

Since returning from the IL, Jimenez has hit just .185/.241/.296 with a home run. He was hitless in today’s game with a couple of strikeouts. Adam Engel came in as a defensive replacement, and AJ Pollock shifted over to left field. Should this be another hamstring injury for Jimenez, the White Sox will have to prepare internally to fill Jimenez’s absence.

We will keep you informed as more information becomes available.
