The Arizona Fall League is underway, and the Glendale Desert Dogs, who have nine White Sox prospects on their roster, own a 1-2 record after the first week.
Inclement weather canceled three of the six scheduled games so far, but let’s break down how each of the White Sox prospects fared in the early action.
Tuesday, October 7
Glendale Desert Dogs (0-0) vs. Salt River Rafters (0-0)
Infielders Sam Antonacci and Ryan Galanie were the only two White Sox prospects to represent the team during the Desert Dogs’ season opener. Neither one of them were able to get in the hit column, but Antonacci made his presence felt on the base paths with a stolen base and run scored.

Wednesday, October 8
Glendale Desert Dogs (0-1) at Surprise Saguaros (1-0)
Hagen Smith got the nod for the second game of the Desert Dogs season and tossed three scoreless innings. He struck out four in the process, while also allowing three hits and two walks. The Sox were also represented in the bullpen with four different relievers taking the mound.
Antonacci and Galanie each recorded their second start in the field, while Caden Connor saw his first action of the AFL season.
