With the calendar now turned to 2026 and Spring Training just a few weeks away, the White Sox are looking for ways to recapture fans’ attention. Through an email sent out on Friday, the team has announced its schedule of specialty nights coming to Rate Field this season.
Many familiar themes are scheduled to return, along with several new additions, including Kids Opening Day (April 4), Hello Kitty Day (June 14), Backyard Sports Day (June 26), Boy Band Night (TBD), and Emo Night (May 14). One notable omission from the initial list, however, is the always-popular Mexican Heritage night, though several other Heritage Nights have already been released.
Here is the current schedule of theme nights in order:
- April 4 – Kids Opening Day
- April 25 – UIC Day
- April 26 – Star Wars Day
- May 13 – DePaul Night
- May 14 – IIT Night/Emo Night
- May 27 – Illini Night
- May 29 – University of Chicago Night/Reggaeton Night
- June 11 – Greek Heritage Night
- June 14 – Hello Kitty Day
- June 23 – Polish Heritage Night
- June 26 – Illinois State University Night/Backyard Sports Day
- June 27 – Northeastern Illinois University Night/Christmas in July
- July 7 – Italian Heritage Night
- July 28 – Grateful Dead Night
- August 8 – Eastern Illinois University Night
- August 9 – NIU Day
- September 8 – Loyola Night
- September 20 – Oktoberfest
In addition to the above, the White Sox will have the following group offers:
- April 15 – Teacher Appreciation Night
- May 9 – Union Offer
- May 9 – Teacher Appreciation Night
- May 25 – Union Offer
- June 23 – Teacher Appreciation Night
- June 26 – Union Offer
