There was plenty of excitement down on the farm Tuesday. The Barons won via a walk-off, and the Ballers and DSL Sox were each involved in back-and-forth slugfests.

Hagen Smith struck out seven in Birmingham, Jeral Perez launched one of the Dash’ three homers, and George Wolkow drove in five for the Ballers.

All this and more in today’s minor league recap!

Triple-A Charlotte Knights (55-64)

The Knights were rained out Tuesday. They’ll play a doubleheader against the Norfolk Tides Wednesday.

Double-A Birmingham Barons (70-45)

Hagen Smith delivered a strong start in the Barons’ 4-3 win over the Rocket City Trash Pandas. The southpaw spun five innings of run-one ball while punching out seven and walking two. Sam Antonacci was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth to give Birmingham a walk-off win.
