White Sox Farm Report: August 1, 2025

MLB Pipeline

Friday’s games couldn’t have gone much better for the White Sox organization. In addition to the big league club, every minor league team that played also secured a win.

Braden Montgomery launched his first AA home run in another Barons shutout victory, Curtis Mead reached base four times in his organizational debut, and the Knights and DSL White Sox won via unconventional walk-offs.

All this and more in today’s minor league recap!

Triple-A Charlotte Knights (51-54)

The Knights drew ten walks, including three by deadline-addition Curtis Mead, in their 4-3 walk-off win over the Rochester Red Wings. Fittingly, the winning run scored on a Dominic Fletcher bases-loaded walk. Charlotte trailed 3-0 in the sixth, but got two back on a Bryan Ramos homer in the bottom of the inning. On the mound, Jesse Scholtens and Yoendrys Gómez kept the Red Wings at bay, with Gómez punching out eight over four innings.

The Dash were unable to get their game against the Greenville Drive in due to poor weather and field conditions. They’ll play a doubleheader Saturday.

Single-A Kannapolis Cannon Ballers (47-53)

After a lengthy rain delay, the Ballers made the game worth the wait with a 6-5 win over the Delmarva Shorebirds. Kannapolis jumped out to a 6-0 lead after a George Wolkow RBI-double in the first and a five-run third. The Shorebirds clawed their way back before Hale Sims shut the door, earning his fourth save of the season.

FINAL/7: Cannon Ballers 6, Delmarva Shorebirds 5 | Box Score

DSL White Sox (19-21)

The DSL Sox delivered a 7-6 walk-off win over the DSL Blue Jays Blue. The Sox scored three in the final inning while recording just one hit, and the winning run scored on a wild pitch. Alexander Martinez had a strong start, striking out six over three innings of one-run ball.
