White Sox drop both games of Wednesday split-squad action

by Matt Cotner

Today, the White Sox broke up into two separate squads to take on the Rangers and Royals. Unfortunately, the team fell short in both affairs. Against the Rangers, offense was hard to come by, as the White Sox were shut out and only managed five hits. Mike Clevinger started and only ceded one run in five innings of work. Against the Royals, the team only tallied one more hit but had three runs to show for it. Davis Martin pitched 4.1 innings and conceded all four Royals runs in a difficult outing.
