Friday night’s White Sox-Orioles game postponed

by Joe Binder

Welp, there won’t be any baseball played on the South Side this evening.

The White Sox have announced that tonight’s game has been postponed due to inclement weather in the area. The game will now be made up as part of a straight doubleheader tomorrow beginning at 1:10 p.m. CDT, with game two starting approximately 30-45 minutes after the first. Both games will also be seven-inning regulation games, and each team is allowed to add a 27th player for the day.

If you’re a season ticket holder and had tickets to tonight’s game, you will receive a credit to your account for game tickets and parking. Ticketmaster purchasers will receive a full refund for game tickets and parking through Ticketmaster.

As for getting into the game tomorrow, tickets for tonight’s postponed game do not transfer to Saturday, so fans must purchase new tickets to attend either contest tomorrow. If you have tickets to Saturday’s original 1:10 p.m. start, you can attend both games and enter the ballpark at any point during either game. Keep in mind, parking lots will open at 11 a.m. and gates at 11:40 a.m.

Saturday’s “Tim Anderson bat flip” bobblehead giveaway will begin when gates open at 11:40 a.m. prior to the first game of the doubleheader, so be sure to get there early!
