First official tailgate of the season set for Saturday, June 26th

by Joe Binder

Call your sons, call your daughters. Call your friends, call your neighbors. Tailgating is officially back in Lot B this weekend and we’re doing it up big.

Spearheaded by Barstool’s White Sox Dave, the Sox On 35th crew will be throwing down the first official tailgate of the 2021 season on Saturday along with the fine folks at Sox On Tap and From The 108. Everyone should be in position right after Lot B opens around 11:10 a.m. so give yourself enough time to get there early if you can. This will be a BYOB event and is free of charge for anyone who’s interested. Just look for our flags when you arrive or check our social media for updates on our exact location. We’re hoping to get a massive turnout to properly celebrate the return to normalcy so it shouldn’t be too hard to find us.

A little note related to our crew specifically, it sounds like we’ll have Jordan Lazwoski, Brandon Anderson, and Mark Fordon out there repping the page. Keep an eye out for them, say what’s up, and roast Laz for anything related to #SoxMath. And since we’ve received a ton of DMs lately asking about koozies, I’ll let y’all know there unfortunately won’t be any available at the park since we’re still awaiting our new shipment. Once we receive everything, we’ll throw the koozies up in our online store and send out a tweet once they’re live.

Now, if you want to come out this weekend but are still in need of tickets, WSD has been promoting a special deal all week long on social. He’s currently offering limited lower level seats for sections 111-113 and 151-153 at $30ish a piece. To check availability, hit the links below ASAP since all three dates are nearly sold out:

Everyone’s goal in all of this is to not only bring everyone together to have a damn good time, but also get the stadium as loud as possible. I hate to bring up a terrible series, but I was down in Houston for all four games and that place was ROCKING. We need our crowds to have that same energy every single night at 35th and Shields to give our boys the home field advantage they deserve.

Let’s have ourselves a weekend! It’s time to put this team on the map.
