Despite their ugly record, the Double-A Birmingham Barons continue to steal the show highlight-wise. Bryan Ramos and Colson Montgomery went yard in last night’s contest, while Matthew Thompson threw six innings of one-run ball. For Triple-A Charlotte, a trio of experienced prospects homered, Cristian Mena struggled, Jordan Leasure did his job, and Jose Rodriguez secured his first RBI as a Knight. Some interesting arms pitched in the lower half of the system, with a mixed bag between Norge Vera and Andrew Dalquist at High-A Winston-Salem, and 2023 sixth-rounder Lucas Gordon hurling three scoreless innings at Low-A Kannapolis.
