Initial 2023 World Series and AL Central winner odds released

by Jordan Lazowski

If you were hoping to start betting on the White Sox in hopes of making some money on their 2023 season, you can officially begin today.

This morning, DraftKings, FanDuel, and PointsBet all released their initial MLB odds for 2023 in each of the following categories:

  • Division winners
  • League pennant winners
  • World Series winners

In what may come as no surprise following a disappointing 2022 season, oddsmakers aren’t nearly as high on the White Sox as they were this time last season. Depending on which sportsbook you turn to, the White Sox can fall anywhere from slight division favorites to slight underdogs behind the Guardians. When it comes to wider league trends for the AL Pennant winner and World Series winner, the White Sox have fallen to the middle of the pack in both areas – still posting good odds, but not nearly the odds they featured last season.

Depending on how you feel about the White Sox heading into 2023, you might be looking to sites to get the best odds that feature the White Sox as underdogs to get the most value for your bets. In that case, DraftKings and FanDuel are your best options there. However, if you’re a little bit more on the pessimistic side for the White Sox and anticipate them falling short of the Guardians once again in the AL Central, PointsBet will be your go-to site, as they are the most optimistic in terms of their outlook for the 2023 White Sox.

Obviously, these are just the initial odds here in January, and there will likely be plenty more shifts as the offseason concludes, more moves are made, and Spring Training gets underway. As those revised odds become available, we will continue to provide you with more updates.
