Caleb Williams to throw first pitch at White Sox game

by Joe Binder

Caleb Williams is coming to Guaranteed Rate Field.

The White Sox announced on social media that the Bears quarterback will be in attendance on Thursday, May 23 to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. In addition to Williams, the club says that Bears rookies Rome Odunze, Kiran Amegadjie and others are expected to be in attendance.

To celebrate the occasion, the White Sox are offering $18 outfield tickets in honor of Williams’ jersey number. To take advantage of the ticket promotion, click here for more information.

Unfortunately, this won’t be the first baseball game for the new franchise quarterback. Williams and the Bears were in attendance on the North Side for a Cubs game earlier this month, receiving a loud ovation from the weekend crowd.

First pitch for Thursday’s game against the Orioles is scheduled for 6:40 PM CT.
