White Sox announce Spring Training broadcast schedule
The White Sox announced their 2026 spring training television and radio schedule on Thursday.
Below is a list of 15 broadcasts set to air on CHSN, ESPN Chicago, and/or whitesox.com:

- Saturday, February 21 vs. Athletics: CHSN and ESPN Chicago

Getz called out for inaccurate Acuña assertion
Roundtable reporter Sam Phalen posted a clip of Chris Getz improperly labeling new outfielder Luisangel Acuña as a switch-hitter on four separate occasions, garnering national attention on social media.
The White Sox GM responded on Thursday by issuing a humorous response to his recurring blunder, saying he still loves Acuña even if he’s only swinging from one side of the plate.
Munetaka Murakami to remain in camp through February
White Sox assistant general manager Josh Barfield told Sox Machine’s James Fegan that first baseman Munetaka Murakami will remain in camp through February 27.
Murakami was initially expected to depart earlier to join Team Japan for March’s World Baseball Classic, but he is now expected to appear in a few Cactus League games before leaving.

Drew Thorpe suffers road bump in Tommy John recovery
Right-handed pitcher Drew Thorpe has experienced a delay in his recovery from Tommy John surgery. The starter revealed to media members that he has slowed down his ramp-up after being diagnosed with tendinitis in his right arm.
The good news is that Thorpe hasn’t been shut down completely, and hopes to transition from catch to throwing off the mound within the next three weeks.
Erick Fedde speaks about return
19 months removed from his departure, right-handed pitcher Erick Fedde is back in a White Sox uniform. Coming off a rough year with the Cardinals, Fedde spoke on his offseason and why he returned:
CME jersey patch debuts
Everyone’s favorite MLB.com reporter, Scott Merkin, gave fans a close-up look at the new Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) sponsorship patch. Players debuted the logo at SoxFest Live to close out January, and will wear them in game action for the first time on Friday, February 20.
New relief acquisitions take the mound
Right-handed relievers Seranthony Dominguez and Jordan Hicks tossed some pitches in front of reporters on Wednesday. Both are expected to play a role in the 2026 Chicago bullpen, with Dominguez expected to handle the eighth or ninth inning alongside Grant Taylor.
