The White Sox announced their 2027 regular-season schedule on Thursday afternoon. While it’s far too early to know whether all 162 games will be played as scheduled, here’s an early look at some of the season’s key dates:
Opening Day
The White Sox will begin their 2027 season against the Tigers for the third time in the past six years. Opening Day is set for March 25 in Detroit, marking the club’s first season opener at Comerica Park since 2022.
Home Opener
The White Sox return to Rate Field a week later for their home opener on Thursday, April 1, against the Brewers. It will be the fifth home opener against Milwaukee in franchise history and the first since 1995.
The last time the White Sox opened at home against a National League opponent came in 2023, when they fell 12-3 to the Giants.
All-Star Game
Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game is Tuesday, July 13 at Wrigley Field.
Crosstown Classic
The annual Crosstown Classic against the Cubs will once again feature two weekend sets.
The first takes place July 16-18 at Wrigley Field immediately following All-Star Weekend. The series then shifts to Rate Field from August 6-8, where overall winner will be decided.
Holidays
The White Sox are scheduled to play on two major holidays:
- Memorial Day: Monday, May 31 vs. Tampa Bay
- Independence Day: Sunday, July 4 at Texas
Final Series
The regular season concludes with a three-game set at home against the Padres from September 24-26.
