by Joe Binder

Prior to today’s series finale vs. Minnesota, the White Sox made a pair of roster moves.

  • Reinstated outfielder Luis Robert from the Paternity List;
  • Optioned right-handed pitcher Davis Martin to Triple-A Charlotte.

Robert, 25, was placed on the Paternity List on Friday. He flew home to be present for the birth of his child. On the season, he is hitting .300/.336/.451 (107-for-357) with 18 doubles, 12 home runs, 56 RBI, 54 runs scored, and 11 stolen bases in 90 games. Though not in Sunday’s starting lineup, acting manager Miguel Cairo expects him to play on Monday.

Martin 25, is 2-4 with a 4.09 ERA (20 ER/44.0 IP) and 30 strikeouts over 10 games, five of which were starts this season. Most recently, he threw five scoreless innings of relief on Friday against the Twins.
