White Sox Gambling Roundup: Early Season Findings

During this season, I’ll be tracking the White Sox gambling statistics to try to find interesting trends and data to help you all win some money! The Google Sheet can be viewed anytime at this link and has sortable columns so a user can look at various situations/scenarios to make informed bets.

All odds are from DraftKings Sportsbook. Let’s take a look at some early season trends!

Tracker Snapshot

4/8 to 4/17 Stats

White Sox ATS Record: 3-6

White Sox O/U Record: 4-5

Early Season Notes and Observations

  • White Sox overs are 3-0 vs. left-handed starting pitchers
  • White Sox overs are 1-5 vs. right-handed starting pitchers

Early indications make it seem that the trend of the White Sox offense performing better against left-handed pitching is rolling over from the previous two seasons. Again, the sample size is admittedly small, but the difference is still eye-opening to see when looking at the team slash lines (through 4/17).

Early Season Awards Tracking

  • Luis Robert to win AL MVP odds in February: +3500
  • Luis Robert to win AL MVP odds in April (Now): +1600
  • Dylan Cease to win AL Cy Young odds in February +1400
  • Dylan Cease to win AL Cy Young odds in April (Now): +900

Plays like this will have Robert in the MVP conversation all season

Anybody that had stock in Luis Robert or Dylan Cease to take home some hardware this season has to be enjoying how they have looked early on! It would appear sportsbooks are taking notice as well, as Robert currently has the 6th best odds to win the MVP and Cease has the 3rd best odds to take home the Cy Young award. The #CyCease movement is gaining some traction it would appear! Both Cease’s and Robert’s current odds are higher than they were just a few months ago – meaning you better hurry if you want to capitalize on a chance to make some big money!
