Both the Charlotte Knights and the Birmingham Barons won their respective games on Wednesday down on the farm.
In Charlotte, Jonathan Cannon and Shane Smith held down the fort on the mound, while Jake Cave‘s home run helped surge the Knights to their 76th win. For Birmingham, a strong bullpen day led by Riley Gowens and Mathias LaCombe held the Bisons lineup in check. Meanwhile, Dylan Campbell and Alec Briley‘s home runs were just enough to maintain the lead for the Barons.
