White Sox Farm Report: May 21, 2026

by Tommy Gross
3 minutes read

It was an odd night down on the farm, with the Charlotte Knights and ACL White Sox being the only affiliates to actually finish their games. Double-A Birmingham had its contest suspended in the 11th inning due to rain and will resume later today. The Kannapolis Cannon Ballers saw their game called after five innings because of more rain, while the Winston-Salem Dash had their matchup postponed altogether for, you guessed it, the same weather system.

Between all the chaos from Mother Nature, Hagen Smith continued his up-and-down season with six strikeouts and four walks in fewer than four innings of work. Alec Makarewicz stayed red hot, capping off a three-hit night with two home runs, while Truman Pauley pitched a “complete game” with seven strikeouts.

All that and more in today’s recap!

Triple-A Charlotte Knights (24-24)

FINAL: Charlotte Knights 3, Gwinnett Stripers 7 | Box Score

Double-A Birmingham Barons (16-25)

FINAL: Birmingham Barons 6, Biloxi Shuckers 4 | Box Score

High-A Winston-Salem Dash (25-16)

Postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader today.

Low-A Kannapolis Cannon Ballers (21-21)

FINAL: Myrtle Beach Pelicans 1, Kannapolis Cannon Ballers 3 | Box Score

ACL White Sox (5-9)

FINAL: ACL Guardians 3, ACL White Sox 2 | Box Score
