Thursday night was Caleb Bonemer and the Dash’s night, no other way to put it. Amidst a quiet night for other headliner White Sox prospects, Bonemer ripped a double and a homer in a High-A Winston-Salem win to raise his OPS to a gawdy 1.114 on the short season. George Wolkow notched three total bases, Kyle Lodise tallied three walks, and 2025 seventh-rounder Anthony DePino homered in that contest as well.
All other affiliates lost, but a few players shone. LaMonte Wade Jr. bashed two doubles for Triple-A Charlotte, Lucas Gordon looked sharp on the mound for Double-A Birmingham, and Javier Mogollon reached base three times for Low-A Kannapolis.
In a scary moment, notable farmhands William Bergolla Jr. and Sam Antonacci collided in Charlotte on Thursday, but both players appear to be alright after a stretcher was brought out for Bergolla. Fans of the South Siders collectively breathed a sigh of relief at the news.
