White Sox minor league affiliates went 2-2 on Tuesday, as both the Winston-Salem Dash and Birmingham Barons put up big offensive outputs to secure their respective wins.
On the mound, Christian Oppor ran into some command issues and was only able to make it through two innings. Luckily, the Barons’ bullpen was able to weather the storm, with Riley Gowens coming in to earn his first career save. Meanwhile, 2025 5th round pick Gabe Davis was solid through three shutout innings for the Dash.
At the plate, the Dash’s lineup has stayed hot, with Caleb Bonemer, Colby Shelton, and Anthony DePino combining for back-to-back-to-back home runs to help surge the lineup. For the Barons, their 9-run performance was led by a home run from Jeral Perez and two doubles from Braden Montgomery.
