by Joe Binder

The White Sox announced their television, radio, and streaming broadcast schedule for the 2023 season this afternoon. All games will air and stream on the following networks and platforms:

  • NBC Sports Chicago
  • ESPN Radio Chicago (AM-1000/FM-100.3 HD2)
  • WRTO AM-1200/Univision Radio
  • ESPN

  • FS1

  • Peacock

The team’s Opening Day game on Thursday, March 30 vs. the Astros will air exclusively on ESPN and stream on the ESPN app as part of the network’s “2023 Opening Day” schedule. First pitch is scheduled for 6:08 p.m. CT.

As for the majority of their games, NBC Sport Chicago is currently scheduled to air 151 regular-season contests. The White Sox and network are entering their fourth season of a multiyear deal that makes it the club’s exclusive regional television home.

All of the White Sox games televised by NBC Sports Chicago and NBC Sports Chicago+, including “White Sox Pregame Live” and “White Sox Postgame Live,” will be made available to authenticated subscribers via NBCSportsChicago.com and the “NBC Sports” app. All out-of-market Sox games also are available through MLB.TV.

The White Sox currently have 11 nationally exclusive broadcasts scheduled for 2023 across ESPN, FOX, Apple TV+, and Peacock.

ESPN Radio Chicago will air all 162 regular season games and potential postseason games in the third season of its multiyear deal as the White Sox exclusive radio home. Fans will also be able to listen on FM-100.3 HD2, the ESPN Chicago app, and the MLB app. WRTO/Univision Radio returns for its ninth consecutive year as the club’s Spanish-language radio home, broadcasting all 81 home games and select road games.

No changes are expected to the on air-talent for either television or radio. Jason Benetti (TV play-by-play), Steve Stone (TV analyst), Len Kasper (radio and TV play-by-play), Darrin Jackson (radio analyst), Connor McKnight (radio pre/post host; play-by-play), Hector Molina (Spanish radio play-by-play) and Billy Russo (Spanish analyst) will return for the upcoming season.

Due to Benetti’s schedule, Kasper will continue to fill in on the television side for approximately 20–25 games. During that stretch, McKnight will serve as radio play-by-play, and also fill in for Jackson when he is off. Former White Sox infielder Gordon Beckham will serve as a TV analyst for select games in place of Stone, as he has done in years prior.
