In the fourth inning of the White Sox game against the Rockies on Monday, the Pale Hose plated 11 runs on 10 hits, including three triples. 14 batters stepped up to the plate in the frame, and the first 11 all reached base safely.
That monster inning was enough to power the Sox past the Rockies 12-3 for their fourth-straight win.
Oliver Dunn led the offensive outburst with a three hit day. The third baseman homered in the second to give the Sox their first run of the game before tripling and singling in the fourth. Austin Hays, Drew Romo and William Bergolla Jr. each also tallied a pair of hits.
Everson Pereira made his first appearance of the Spring in the win, drawing a walk and grounding into a double play in his two trips to the plate.
Another strong showing from the pitching staff meant that the team’s 12-0 lead was more than safe, even as the Rockies pushed three late runs across.
Rule 5 pick Jedixson Paez got the start and bounced back with a pair of shutout innings. Paez picked up four swings-and-misses in the win, with all four coming on his changeup.
Mike Vasil made his first appearance since Feb. 27, firing three innings of scoreless ball. The right-hander used six pitches as he held the Rockies to just one hit.
Brandon Eisert continued his dominant Spring with two shutout innings. The southpaw has now made five appearances this Spring, holding opponents scoreless across 5.2 innings. He’s punched out eight while allowing just one walk and three hits.

Key Performers
Oliver Dunn (3B): 3-for-4, HR, 3B, 3 R, 2 RBI
Dunn found himself three-fourths of the way to a cycle before the fourth inning was even over. His second-inning home run — Dunn’s second of the Spring — traveled 419 feet and gave the Sox their first run. He led off the 4th with a triple before singling later in the frame. With his performance today, he raised his OPS to 1.141 as he fights for a roster spot.
Mike Vasil: 3.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 1 K
“Batman” found no crime to keep off the streets at Camelback Ranch, so he kept the Rockies off the scoreboard instead. Vasil, who hasn’t pitched since the end of February, didn’t appear to miss a beat. The right-hander conceded just a single hit over three innings of work.
Drew Romo (C): 2-for-2, 2B, 2 R, 4 RBI, BB
Romo, like Dunn, has taken his opportunity and ran with it this Spring. The catcher drove in four runs on Monday while reaching base in all three of his trips to the plate. He raised his average to .417 and his OPS to 1.230 with his performance
