Savannah Bananas ticket presale announced for Rate Field

by Joe Binder

White Sox season ticket holders, check your emails.

The Savannah Bananas have sent out presale information for their games on Friday, August 15, and Saturday, August 16 at Rate Field. The offer begins on Monday, May 19, at 10 a.m. CT and ends on Tuesday, May 20, at 9 a.m. CT or when tickets sell out.

In an email sent out exclusively to season ticket holders, it says fans may purchase up to four seats to the event. All tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. The team announced that to expedite check-out, it is encouraged that interested fans set up their accounts on the Savannah Bananas website ahead of Monday.

In case you’re unfamiliar, the Savannah Bananas are an independent, traveling baseball team that often gets likened to the Harlem Globetrotters. Though not for everyone, the appeal of the Georgia-based team is their consistent fan interaction and desire to make the game as fun as possible, coming up with wacky rules that keep the spirit of the game intact while bringing a new joy for all ages.

The team announced part of their 2025 schedule last October, which will see them visit more MLB ballparks around the United States. Among their trips is a summer stop in Chicago for a pair of games on the South Side.

Their 2025 schedule will build upon their 2024 Banana Ball World Tour, in which the organization traveled around the United States and played baseball games at various ballparks, including Cleveland, Boston, and Philadelphia. Some new ballparks for this year include Rate Field, Truist Field in Atlanta, Camden Yards in Baltimore, PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Yankee Stadium in New York, T-Mobile Park in Seattle and even football stadiums.

You can find the entire Savannah Bananas 2025 schedule above, as well as a link to enter a lottery to receive tickets. With these consistently being sold-out events, it may require some luck to see the Bananas on the South Side.
