In a very quiet night of action, the White Sox couldn’t get much of anything done at the plate against the Rangers. Through eight innings, they had only two hits.
That is, until the top of the 9th inning.
When the replacements for the starters entered the game, they made things happen: Dustin Harris’ double into an Oliver Dunn home run got two runs on the board for the Southsiders.
Sean Burke pitched one of the longer outings we’ve seen from a White Sox pitcher in Spring Training thus far, throwing 78 pitches over 4.2 innings.
He limited damage fairly well, only allowing three hits and one run, but still surrendered three walks.
