Postgame Report: Angels 4, White Sox 3

by Nik Gaur

The White Sox opened their season with a hard-fought, intense contest against the Angels. Ultimately, the White Sox fell short following a rough 8th inning full of defensive blunders and bad breaks. Despite inducing weak contact, a couple bad bounces and a Nick Madrigal throwing error culminated in the Angels overtaking the White Sox and winning 4-3.

Yoan Moncada turned in a strong season debut and made a beautiful pick defensively to start an inning-ending double play in the 6th inning.

Luis Robert: 1-for-4, SB

Matchup of the Game

Aaron Bummer was pitching in a 3-3 tie in the 8th inning with runners on 1st and 2nd base with 1 out.
