Lucas Giolito, MLB Players League games to appear on several networks

by Joe Binder

There will finally be White Sox games on ESPN! Well, sort of.

Major League Baseball announced today that MLB The Show Players League games will air on networks like ESPN, ESPN2, FS1 and MLB Network beginning tonight. In the inaugural group set to appear on ESPN2 is White Sox ace Lucas Giolito, who will be accompanied by Blake Snell, Bo Bichette, and Trevor May

Following tonight’s rounds, ESPN2 will continue to carry coverage on Saturday before it transitions over to MLB Network Sunday evening. The playoff rounds will then kick off next on May 1st, with games appearing on FS1, ESPN, and ESPN2, with the championship on Sunday, May 3rd. The overall winner will get a $25,000 donation for the Boys and Girls Clubs Affiliate in his area, an awesome prize by all involved in running this.

Here is the complete broadcast schedule:

For when he’s not on major television networks, you can catch the remainder of Lucas’ games on his Twitch account by clicking here. I recommend checking it out, even if you’re not the biggest fan of video games because it’s been entertaining and full of fan engagement. Even Jason Benetti got in on the action to provide some commentary.

Let’s see if the ace can make a run and give us some (virtual) playoff baseball on the South Side!
