The Houston Astros have been crowned the 2022 World Series champions, and now we are all on to 2023.

While White Sox fans may be a bit less optimistic about the team’s World Series chances next season, the betting market seems to think there are still plenty of reasons to feel good under new manager Pedro Grifol.

According to DraftKings Sportsbooks’ latest World Series odds, the White Sox are among the top 10 teams, currently listed at +1900, which is tied with the Mariners.

Here are the top 10 teams:

  • Dodgers: +550
  • Astros: +600
  • Braves: +800
  • Blue Jays: +1000
  • Yankees: +1000
  • Mets: +1200
  • Padres: +1400
  • Phillies: +1500
  • White Sox: +1900
  • Mariners: +1900

Additionally, the Guardians sit at +4000, the Twins at +5500, the Tigers at +7000, and the Royals at +9000.

Note that these odds will often change along with how people are betting so, people still seem to be high on the White Sox following a disappointing 2022 season. It’s also reassuring to see that the South Siders are the highest-ranked AL Central team on this list, with the Guardians as the next closest at +4000 odds.

With free agency just getting started and teams gearing up for off-season moves, these odds will continue to fluctuate. As they do, we’ll continue to provide periodic updates here and on our social media @soxon35th.

For now, let us know in the comments what you think about these initial odds!
